I just read the fourth article against meds and CBT* (cognitive-behavioral therapy) for use against anxiety disorders. And I don’t go searching for these articles, they just pop up while I’m surfing the web.
Now, I don’t give a shit about much. All I really give a shit about is art and psychology/psychiatry. I’m a nihilist and I actually care about things, yes. Just read these rules, based on my experience with idiot shrinks and my obsessive-compulsive disorder.
(*NOTE:CBT is exposure to things that make you anxious gradually, most likely leading to a jaded response when exposed to the anxiety-causing object).
RULES FOR PEOPLE WITH ANXIETY ISSUES/DISORDERS
1) IF YOU SUSPECT YOU HAVE A DISORDER, IMMEDIATELY CONFRONT YOUR PARENTS. IF THEY DENY IT, DESPITE THE LARGE POOL OF EVIDENCE, GIVE THEM FUCKING HELL!!
2) BEWARE “ALTERNATIVE” SHRINKS, WHO FEAR MEDICATIONS. THEY ARE USELESS AND JUST WANT TO TALK YOUR PROBLEMS OUT, WHICH DOESN’T WORK.
3) FOR MEDS, GO TO A PSYCHIATRIST, NOT YOUR PRIMARY CARE DOCTOR. THE LATTER ALSO KNOW NOTHING ABOUT OUR ISSUES.
4) FIND A PSYCHOLOGIST WHO USES CBT, IT, LIKE MEDS, WORKS SLOWLY AND EFFICIENTLY. DON’T LISTEN TO THESE NEW WAVE POP PSYCHOLOGISTS WHO BELIEVE TALKING SHIT OUT HELPS. IT. DOESN’T. FUCKING. HELP.
Please consider this as important as your social justice posts, because this concerns the mental well-being of teenagers of our generation, who might be misguided by fake gurus, “alternative therapists” and pop psychologists, thus leading to a downward spiral.
